Missing login items (suddenly)

Weird thing today. Had a kernel panic while exploring my new Focusrite Saffire audio interface (I'm occasionally getting a digital pop out of the left channel). When I rebooted, none of my login items showed up.

Luckily I had a backup of the file:

 ~/Library/Preferences/loginwindow.plist

You are backing up daily, right? Anyway, restoring this file quickly restored my login items.
